#009: What You Need to Know About Leading with Emotional Intelligence (Part 2)

Emotional Intelligence is defined by Key Step Media as a different way of being smart, it’s a key to high performance at all levels, particularly for outstanding leadership. It’s not your IQ, it’s how you manage yourself and your relationships.

In manufacturing, technical skills are always going to be important, but at a certain point, if you’re looking to level up, it's actually how well you work with people or employees that will really make a difference.

In today’s episode, we’re going to cover four out of the 12 competencies on emotional intelligence:

  1. Emotional self-awareness

  2. Emotional balance/ self-control 

  3. Adaptability

  4. Achievement orientation

I’ll define each competency, let you know why it’s important to understand and the steps you can take to begin mastering emotional intelligence.
